U.S. Industry Association Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA [1] ), the veto by the U.S. government [2] and against the ban on older iPhones iPads criticized the U.S. Trade Commission, ITC had imposed at the instigation Samsung against Apple [3] . According CCIA President Ed Black [4] put the “unprecedented decision to lift a ban on the import of the ITC,” the fairness of the U.S. trading system into question.

One should not forget, that Apple is going on in different countries against Samsung and other companies, says Black. If Samsung will be disadvantaged in the United States seemingly at random over a major American competitors, the other countries invite you to do the same. The government’s decision ignored the decision of the ITC that Samsung is not a relevant standard patent abusing how Apple had argued.

The CCIA hopes that the veto in this case, a generally skeptical attitude of the government towards the implementation of claims suggesting about the ITC import bans. The Association is concerned about the “explosion of patent litigation”, which will be held on the ITC. The case shows that a comprehensive reform of the U.S. patent system is necessary. The CCIA welcomes in this context, the proposed patent reform [5] of the U.S. government.
