The Multimedia systems of cars are more like tablets and smartphones. The upgradable car radio alpha S600 drives this trend to the extreme: it runs directly on Google’s Android operating system. This makes it possible to virtually download the game via the navigation program to online radio any Android app – at least as long as it is compatible with the aged version of Android 2.2. An update to a newer Android has already announced the manufacturer.
The Alpha S600 has a 6.2-inch screen and fits in a double DIN slot. At prices between 85 and 100 euros to hardware features such as digital TV or a rear-view camera can be retrofitted. To go on the internet, either a smartphone needs, which is connected via Wi-Fi with the radio, or available for about 20 Euros UMTS stick – but for a prepaid card is still needed. Product: Alpha
